1. cd to grub modules directory
2. run grub-mkimg -d . -o ~/grub.elf *.mod

Now you can move your new grub binary in a hfs or hfsplus partition in order to use it. You should place in the same folder also grub.cfg and device.map if you would an interactive menu. To boot grub see openfirmware page
